Outreach Prayer Guide
Pray with us for our Outreach Ministries, third Sunday, after 2nd service, 12:10-1pm, Room 158.
All those who believe and trust in Jesus have been sent by God to be ambassadors for God’s Kingdom (John 20:21 & 2 Corinthians 5:20). Some of us are simply sent further to different countries of the world and need supporters to help fulfill the call from God to be a minister of the Gospel of Christ into the world. Please join us in supporting our Local and Global Outreach ministries and missionaries through prayer.
Summer 2026
Local Partner, Haven of Rest
Please pray for our Vacation Bible School at Haven of Rest, taking place July 20–24 from 9am–Noon. Pray that God would provide volunteers to help with crafts, games, Bible lessons and skits. Also, pray for the children who will attend, the leaders and volunteers serving and that God would use the week to share His love and the hope of the gospel.
Nancy Ware, Missionary to North Akron
We started summer school June 9th. We have over 60 students signed up. (not including teen helpers) Please pray that God will use this time to first draw the children to Himself, and second to help them learn and maintain knowledge. We will have at least 5 different ethnic groups represented in our students. Pray that the students and volunteers will grow in their relationship with Christ. We have been asked to take on 7 children newer to America for our summer school. (the school hopes this will help improve the childrens’ English skills before school starts) Also pray that the Hispanic kids who will be joining us will sense Christ's love. Ask God to continue to work in the hearts of children and adults in our Bible studies.
Church Partners
Pray for our church partnerships with the local churches that meet in our building. We currently have three churches: the Chinese Church, the Vietnamese Church and Mi Iglesia meeting on a weekly basis. Pray that these congregations will proclaim the gospel to their communities. Pray that our building will be a place of intergenerational and multi-cultural fellowship. Praise the Lord that He has gifted us a building that can accommodate all of these groups.
Local Outreach
Yucatán, Mexico Outreach
In June, both our High School team and our All Church team had the opportunity to serve in the village of Chikindzonot, Yucatán, partnering with the local church and Mission House to share the hope of the gospel. Throughout the two weeks, the teams participated in VBS, sports ministry, men’s and women’s ministry and home visits. We are grateful to see God working through these efforts, with several people placing their faith in Christ and multiple taking the next step of obedience through baptism.
Please continue praying for the local church, especially Pastor Alejandro and his family, as they faithfully shepherd believers in a village where choosing to follow Christ can often lead to rejection and isolation from family and the community. Pray that God would strengthen and encourage the ministry workers as they continue discipling new believers and faithfully sharing the gospel. Ask the Lord to soften the hearts of the people in Chikindzonot, open doors for meaningful conversations and continue bearing fruit through the ongoing work of Mission House.
Mozambique Outreach (Michael Boso, Volunteer Country Director)
Praise God for the incredible ways He has been working through this summer's mission teams in Mozambique! Our team from The Chapel had the opportunity to partner with local churches through evangelistic crusades, door-to-door outreach, children's ministry, women's discipleship, open-air market evangelism, baptism classes and home visits to pray for the sick. Hundreds attended the crusades, many professed faith in Christ and 56 new believers were baptized and connected with local churches for ongoing discipleship.
Please continue praying for the remaining teams serving in Mozambique, asking God to give them strength, wisdom and boldness as they share the gospel. Pray for the new believers as they grow in their faith and become rooted in their local churches. Continue to pray for the pastors and church leaders who will disciple them, and that God would continue to soften hearts and bring many more people to faith through these ongoing ministry efforts.
India Outreach (Doug Lauer, Volunteer Country Director)
Please continue praying for our ministry partners in India as they faithfully serve in a challenging and often difficult environment. Despite the obstacles they face, they remain committed to sharing the hope of the gospel, caring for vulnerable people and meeting both physical and spiritual needs in their communities.
Pray for God's wisdom, strength and protection over the pastors, ministry leaders and their families as they encourage local believers and continue the work God has called them to. Ask the Lord to sustain them, give them courage and provide opportunities for the gospel to take root in the hearts of those they serve.
Please also pray for the outreach ministries that provide education, vocational training, medical care and support for women and children in vulnerable situations. Pray that these ministries would continue to be well-resourced and that those they serve would experience healing, hope and the transforming love of Christ. Ask God to raise up future leaders through these efforts and to continue opening doors for lives and communities to be changed.
Finally, pray that God would soften hearts throughout India, strengthen the local church and continue to provide unity, perseverance and encouragement for those faithfully serving Him.
Cambodia Outreach (Nancy Beres, Volunteer Country Director)
Please pray for the following college students, from the BB11 home, that they will be persistent and diligent in their studies. Also, that they would learn to prioritize their time wisely and continue attending Sunday worship services.
Abigail Samoeun (English Lit) year 4, Vimean Men (General Management) and Siev Hong Thoeun (Animal Science) are both in their 3rd year, Voleak Thong (Economics) Lika Chan Thong (Animal Science) Sou Rin Vat (Economics) 2nd year, and Kanha Nhung (Chinese and English Language) 1st year.
A meeting was held in late May by Savorn Ou, director of Asia's Hope, for 68 Christian leaders from different churches, denominations and organizations. Please pray that these leaders would carry his message of rejoicing in the Lord, Philippians 4:4 to the people of Battam Bang.
Please pray for good health and safety for Savorn and his wife, Sony, as they are flying to the U.S. in July to visit the churches and people that support Asia's Hope Cambodia. Pray that the Lord give them the energy they need as they will be visiting Arizona, North Carolina, Ohio and Missouri. May their time here be blessed.
Global Outreach
Bill & Sally Dyck, Wycliffe Bible Translators
Bill and Sally Dyck are longtime missionaries serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators from their home in South Carolina. They help make Scripture accessible to people around the world through digital publishing, printing and video production in many different languages.
Please pray for Bill and Sally as they travel on their Church Partnership Tour, visiting supporting churches and sharing about their ministry. Pray for strength, safety and encouragement as they travel, and that God would continue using their work to bring His Word to people in their heart language around the world.
Nate and Danielle Chaney, Missionaries to Albania
Please pray for the family as they spend the summer visiting churches, supporters and family before returning to Albania on August 19. Pray that these visits would be encouraging for everyone involved and that God would use them to strengthen relationships and provide opportunities to share what He has been doing through their ministry. Also pray for a smooth transition back to Albania, continued growth in their Albanian language skills and wisdom as they jump back into ministry. Finally, pray for their oldest son, Timothy, who recently graduated from high school and will remain in the U.S. while the rest of the family returns to Albania. Ask God to guide and provide for him as he works and prepares to begin Discipleship Training School in January, and give the whole family peace as they adjust to this new season.
