We have a responsibility to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). Preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, is a priority for us, as a large church in this community. We desire to assist the health & government agencies in our area with the issues of containment. Because we desire to be good citizens of our community as we navigate this outbreak, we are suspending all in-person gatherings of all sizes, across our entire network of Chapel churches. We will not be holding services, small groups, ABFs, Bible studies, or any other gatherings until further notice.
As our community leaders become more and more aware of the effect & spread of the virus, and when we feel it is prudent to gather in person once again, we will begin doing so. We will rely on our church newsletter and social media platforms to make those announcements at the appropriate times. But for now, at the request of healthcare and governmental leaders, all in-person gatherings are presently suspended.
There will be no in-person church services for the remainder of March 2020, and our church buildings will not be open on Sundays for gatherings of any size. But don’t lose heart — ministry is still happening! With this health crisis comes an opportunity for our church to expand our ability to do ministry online in fresh new ways, which leaves us feeling energized and optimistic about where God will lead us!
In-person gatherings at The Chapel have been suspended, but that doesn’t mean that our ministry stops! Our current circumstances necessitate a move toward online ministry. Our team is already working hard to implement new online worship and teaching experiences, which will be accessible through our website each week. As always, our eyes are on our Savior, and we trust Him to lead and provide.
While we won’t be physically gathering at our campuses, we do invite you to worship with us online from your home on Sunday. Simply visit this website and select the campus that you regularly attend. We have produced an online experience that includes updates, worship, and teaching from your Lead Pastor. We hope our online service is a great encouragement to you despite the fact that we cannot gather in person during this time. Please know that we love you and that we are praying for you.
The online service will be available beginning at 9am, each Sunday morning. However, we will utilize on-demand viewing, so you don’t need to be precisely on time – you can begin watching anytime after 9am!
