Camp Carl

Come Be a Part of It!

Camp Carl reaches more than 2,220 kids each summer. They come for a fun outdoor camping experience and leave with new confidence, new skills and new friends. Most importantly, many leave with a newfound or growing faith in Jesus.

Camp Carl has been an outreach ministry of The Chapel since 1964 and was named after our founding Pastor Carl Burnham. Nestled in the woods near Ravenna – just 30 minutes east of The Chapel, our camp is also an ideal setting for spring, fall and winter retreats.

Volunteers are vital to helping camp maintain the highest operating standards so that staff can focus on building relationships with campers. To learn more about how you can use your gifts to serve the ministry of Camp Carl, visit their volunteer page HERE.

FAQs
Board Members

Q: In light of Chapel churches becoming independent, will Camp's existing partnerships with them continue?

A: We hope and anticipate that these partnerships will continue to exist! Ultimately, partnership and collaboration between Camp Carl and other Chapel churches and/or ministries will happen voluntarily, at the discretion of the appropriate ministry leaders. Volunteer work days, youth retreats and other campus-specific events that are already scheduled to happen at Camp Carl in 2023 will continue as planned.

Q: When will the new Camp governance model take effect?

A: We anticipate transitioning Camp Carl into their new legal status in September 2023.
