Prayer Calendar

April 2022

The truth is all those who believe and trust in Jesus have been sent by God to be ambassadors for God’s Kingdom (John 20:21 & 2 Corinthians 5:20). Some of us are simply sent further to different countries of the world and they need supporters to help fulfill the call from God to be a minister of the Gospel of Christ into the world. Please join us in supporting our Local and Global Outreach ministries and missionaries through prayer.

WEEK 1

Nate & Danielle Chaney serving in Senegal – They are planning to visit Ohio this summer for 6 weeks. Please pray that the Lord would provide a vehicle (5+ passengers), smooth travel, and that Danielle and family would be able to take care of all medical needs while they are here. Pray for good closure to the school year at Dakar Academy, for both kids as students (Timothy- 8th grade, Andrew- 6th grade, Matthew- 3rd grade), and Danielle and Nathan as staff. Pray for Nate to have perseverance and strength as he tries to balance a full schedule of work, ministry, school, and family. Pray that their M friends, Ismaila and Souadou, would put their faith in Christ, and as they move to Canada for work, the Lord would surround them with solid Christians who can continue to share Jesus with them. Pray that the family would all grow in their own personal walks with the Lord, and that God would continue to increase their faith.

India Outreach – (Director: Doug Lauer) – Please pray for all our pastors, their families and congregations who have continued to work through this challenging time. All the pastors are extremely busy with their congregations, still meeting in multiple small family groups, where pastors are often traveling to visit members of their congregations in homes. The pastors have now been trained as basic health workers to help their congregations through the next wave of COVID. Please pray they will have great stamina as they are wearing so many hats ministering to the people in their churches. Please pray for all students at the five schools we have helped to start in our designated state. Praise God that all seven funded borewells have been installed and are a huge blessing for these rural villages that did not have a nearby source of clean drinking water. Please pray for protection for all these workers as they continue to face increased persecution.

WEEK 2

Craig & Carol Lynn Rucin serving in Poland – Please pray for discernment, counsel, endurance and strength in helping the large influx of Ukrainian Refugees into Poland. They are helping to shelter, feed, and minister to as many refugees as they can.  Please pray that the Gospel of Christ would go forth in all that they are doing to take care of the refugees. Please pray to operate in a safe environment. Also, please pray the for the church in Ukraine to shine the light of the gospel in these dark times.

Nancy Ware serving Refugees in North Akron – Please pray for preparations for our summer school that starts in June.  Ask God to move in the hearts of Law, Van, Mary, Da and Khai. Pray that he would draw them to Himself. Pray that the children we serve excel in their studies. Pray for the health of the babies born recently-- Charity, Noami, Valentina, and those yet to be born.

WEEK 3

Pastor Benedito serving in Mozambique – The new church is growing in Mukotwene as well as the church of Macalawene is working to serve and reach their neighboring communities. Many new believers are being added to the church. Pray that God would bring revival in the country and that God continues to raise workers to serve in His kingdom. Join us in praying that God gives us property in Chimite Muhambe to plant another church and pray that God raises a Bible school in Chibuto to train and equip leaders. Pray for Pastor Benedito, that God would give him strength in ministry. Pray for wisdom to lead the churches being planted. Pray for his son Raul as he is studying to be a medic and God would provide support to continue his studies. Pray for his daughter Gilda as she has finished secondary school and is willing to go to university.

Vietnam Outreach – Praise God for how the church is advancing in northern provinces of Vietnam. Over the last year we have seen 2 new Love Homes be established and have sent out 7 church planters into Highland tribal areas where there is much opposition to the Gospel of Christ. Pray that God would strengthen the church planters to be empowered by Christ to do evangelism in different villages. Pray for the women of the villages churches that have been trained & encouraged last year to live in and share the Gospel as well as strength in their new jobs of sewing and selling of chickens to provide for their families.

International Outreach – (Director: Stephen Morris) – We praise the Lord for his continued work in our ministry through Friday Night Dinners and through our ESL classes. Pray that ongoing relationships would deepen, and hearts would soften to hear the Gospel of Christ. As we near the end of the semester, please pray for students as they look to finish the school year well. For some, that will mean defending dissertations and final research tasks. For others, they look to wrap up as best as they can before traveling, either home or elsewhere.

WEEK 4

Pastor Maulido serving in Mozambique – The church I pastor in Matola has grown beyond the capacity of the modest temporary structure we assembled. We have investigated additional property to build on or to expand our current location with a proper building. Please pray for wisdom and the Lords leading and provision. We (FEA) face challenges in northern Mozambique as the church is under attack from a northern country. We recently lost one of our senior pastors to old age and health. He was loved and respected in our fellowship. Personally, please pray for wisdom for my sons are setting their course in life with education and career choices. Also, my wife has some health concerns which is a challenge for treatment given the options in Mozambique.

Cambodia Outreach – (Director: Kathi Ferris) –  Some of the children have continued to struggle with their studies because of the constant back and forth changes over the last two years, between in-person schooling and on-line learning.  Please pray that they do not get discouraged, and that they will develop confidence in their ability to learn. And for the newest members of our Asia’s Hope family, pray that God would water the seeds of the Gospel that are being planted, that the children understand Christ’s gift of salvation, and that they would grow to know that He is ever faithful, loving and forgiving.

Yucatan Outreach – Please pray that God would raise up more devoted leaders to serve with the Mission House to make disciples of Christ in the Yucatan.  Thank God for using the recent Chapel Medical STM Team that served in the Yucatan last month. They saw around 320 patients & shared Jesus with them through their service to them. Pray that each one who received medical care would have been impacted with the love of Christ and turn to Him. Also, pray for the 2 Mayan people who received Christ and got baptized that God would continue to draw near.
