Caring for One Another

If you need help or are looking for ways to be a good neighbor, our Care Ministry Team has assembled a number of helpful resources for you. Let’s use this time to love and serve one another well.

While caring for others, take a look at our list of Best Practices for Serving During the Pandemic below.

CARING FOR THE ELDERLY AND THOSE AT-RISK

Simple things like grocery shopping or stopping by the Post Office are a little harder for all of us right now. But for our dear seniors and for those with chronic medical conditions, doing these things puts them at greater risk. We want to help by coming alongside the elderly and others at risk during the pandemic.

Can you help? We’re looking for friends who are willing to check up on an elderly or at-risk member of our congregation, pick up and deliver their groceries (and in some cases even help to pay for things, as needed) and check up on them regularly while we weather this storm, together.

OTHER WAYS TO SERVE OR HELP

Please contact COVID.resources@akronchildrens.org as soon as possible, if you have any of these items.

Give blood

Many local blood drives have been canceled due to workplace and school closures, but there is still a great need for blood donors at this time.
