WHO WE ARE
Launched in Fall 2016, we are a community of individuals, post-college to age 30, who devote ourselves to the study of God’s Word, fellowship with one another, the breaking of bread, and prayer. We seek to follow the pattern of the early church in Acts 2:42.
WHAT WE DO
Young Adult Large Group
SUNDAYS | 9am | Room 155
Each week, we meet for a time of teaching, discussion, fellowship and prayer. After our time together, we move to the 10:40am service to worship together as part of the larger body of Christ.
(Acts 2:42, Hebrews 10:19-25, 1 Corinthians 1:1-2)
It’s easy to get lost in a large group on Sunday morning, so we break up into smaller weeknight Life Groups that meet in various host homes. Our goal is to foster organic spiritual growth and discipleship in mixed groups of singles, young couples, marrieds, and young parents where everyone feels welcomed and loved. One of the ways we do this is by pairing young adults with older couples to co-lead these groups.
(Acts 2:42-47, Proverbs 11:14, 27:17, Galatians 6:2)
Joining a Life Group:
- First, you’ll need to join the Young Adult Ministry Group on Belong, our church database. See the bottom of this page on how to get started.
- To sign up for a Life Group on Belong, type in the key words “young adult” or “life group” along with the leaders’ last names in the Group search bar. The button to join is in the upper right corner of that group’s page.
- To create an atmosphere for really getting to know one another, our target for each group is 16 people. When groups begin to grow larger than this, they will split off in order to multiply groups.
- If you’re interested in an all women’s or an all men’s group, check out the ABF page for more options.

5-9pm | VARIOUS HOMES
Once a month, we gather at a host home with no set agenda outside of sharing a meal, playing games, and furthering our community. If you have a young family, bring the whole crew to The Breaking because part of sharing in each other’s lives means sharing in each other’s families. And please, feel free to bring unchurched friends. Our goal is to provide a safe and relaxed atmosphere for everyone. We just ask that you RSVP (see below) and own a side, drink, dessert or utensils. In the busyness of life, this is an opportunity to gather and “recline at the table” together, even as Jesus did! (Acts 2:46-47, John 12:1-2, 21:9-13)
You will need to RSVP so those hosting The Breaking can plan for you. Do this through Belong, our online database. Here’s how:
