In 1 Corinthians 12, God likens individual believers in Jesus to distinctive parts that together comprise one body. This is an excellent picture of church membership. Every single follower of Jesus all over the world is part of the "universal" body of Christ. Becoming a member of The Chapel is a local expression of the same principle.

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Romans 6:4)
The consistent practice of the early Church was that -- as people heard the Gospel preached and responded in faith -- they confessed that belief publicly by being baptized, and became part of the life of the local body of believers. Baptism is the first step in the journey of following Christ.

Begin is a four-week class and is for those who are either:
- new to The Chapel or young Christians
- desire to be baptized
- desire to become church members
The class is a primer on both The Chapel and the Christian life and will be required for anyone desiring baptism or membership.
The next class will be held on four consecutive Sundays from September 10 - October 1, 2017.
